Tourism in Chabua

Chabua has an airfield named Chabua Airfield, which was used during the Second World War. This was built in 1939. During the Second World War this airfield was used by the United States Army Air Force and was the major supply point for the ferrying of the supplies by Generalissimo Chiang-Kai-Shek’s forces in and around Kunming, China. Chabua was the headquarters for both the Assam and Bengal Wings of the India-China Division. The Chabua Airfield is currently used as a training airfield.
